Walk on Urangan Pier at Sunset

It was so lovely to have a beautiful sunny day today so we walked and walked---freedom after all the rain we've had. Our last walk was to Urangan Pier at sunset. Somethings we do are just good for our soul---this was definately one of those!!! The walk on this Pier always makes me feel good but tonight was very special---something about sunset in the tropics. I only had this feeling once before when we stayed with Shell and children at Noosa. Its a matter of catching the sunset and letting it soak into your soul. WE walked about 7kls and it nearly killed me but I loved every minute of this very special  time.

  1. There are certainly a lot of fisherman on the pier. I wonder if they caught much? Tony will be quite envious, but when we are there, he can't take Joey on the pier, as no dogs allowed. Mostly also he found the fish he caught from the beach were ones that had teeth and bit the hook right off!! Have you seen any bats at all? I absolutely love them. xx Liz

  2. The most fish they caught were those awful Toad Fish-----they threw them back but last night some caught heaps of little Herrings and Flathead. Jetty was packed today too!! Havnt seen bats yet but we are walking to a restaurant for dinner tonight so we might see them then. A boy told us someone caught a big Tuna off the end of the jetty!!!!
